Business and Community Services aim is to provide a physical environment in support of the University's academic goals, which takes account of environmental issues and contributes to the quality of life of the University population.

Our goal is to provide information, assistance and access to the University community in all aspects of the student housing market. Our main office is on the Highfield Campus.
Our Halls of Residence are: Archers Road Halls (Gateley, Romero, St Margaret's House, Traditional Halls); Glen Eyre Complex (Glen Eyre, Chamberlain Hall, Hartley Grove, South Hill Hall); Small Halls (Bencraft Court, Erasmus Park, Gower Building, Highfield Hall, Shaftesbury Properties); and the Wessex Lane Complex (Connaught Hall, Edwina House, Montefiore 1, 2 and South Stoneham House).
As well as being responsible for the University's Halls of Residence, our other key services are private rented sector accommodation, property accreditation scheme; lodgings, advice and information on all aspects of the student housing market.
Catering Services are totally committed to the provision of quality affordable catering and hospitality services. Our outlets at Highfield are the Piazza, Staff Social Centre and Garden Court, whilst we also have other outlets at Boldrewood, Southampton Oceanography Centre, Avenue Campus, and New College.
If you organize meetings, training or conferences, we assure you of value, choice and expertise and strive to meet your individual needs.
We are responsible for the University's room bookings service and conference organization, catering, accommodation, meeting rooms, and audio-visual.
The University Day Nursery is on the Highfield Campus and with 108 places is now the largest in Hampshire.
The studio is responsible for the production and replacement of identity cards for staff and students and for the devlopment of Smartcard applications such as card operated door-entry systems, e-purses and other integrated "one card solutions.
To provide an efficient cost effective and high quality range of design, print copying and advisory services, which will meet the majority of the University's requirements of printed material.
Our key services are: design and print co-ordination; visual identities stationery, conference / material, newsletters, leaflets, folders for both departments and private work for staff and students, copying; finishing; spiral / wire binding, fast back binding, thesis and dissertation binding, encapsulating and scanning facilities.
The new Jubilee Sports Centre on the Highfield Campus was opened in February by the Rt Hon Richard Caborn MP, Minister for Sport and Tourism. The facilities include a 25m 6-lane swimming pool, 8-badminton court sports hall and 140-station fitness suite, adding to the extensive sports facilities already available at the University and providing a high quality facility at the heart of the University.

A service aimed at the University and local communities, uni-link aims to make public transport accessible and useful to all.
We also have responsibility for the University travel plan, and encourage non-car travel.
The administration of bike storage and halls car parking is another of our key services.
